I am a Chartered Psychologist of the British Psychological Society, held since June 2012, an Associate Fellow since 2016, on the Register of Psychologists specialising in Psychotherapy since 2017 and a Senior Member of this Register since 2023.

I am also registered as a Chartered Counselling Psychologist with the Psychological Society of Ireland, held since November 2011.

My experience involves working for many years as a Chartered Psychologist for Scotland’s largest provider of psychology and counselling, providing psychological therapies to both the general and clinical populations on a self-referral basis, and to employees eligible through employee assistance programs.

Referrals involved initial assessment, formulation, therapy progression, and evaluation of intervention, for issues pertaining to life span trajectories, adverse experiences, mental health issues and relationship and workplace concerns.

I have also held various roles and responsibilities in University Counselling Services, including being part of the core management structure to Clinical Lead, psychoeducational design and delivery of workshops, and triage, assessment, formulation, and psychological therapy provision on a one-to-one basis for students.

I now work solely in Private Practice and have established Fiona Farrell Psychology and Psychotherapy.

I’m qualified, experienced, and comfortable in working with the following issues and experiences.

Bereavement and loss
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
